The Hidden Cost of Heat: A November Cooling Event Puts Dust and Downtime on the Agenda
TRENDS · Upcoming industry event · Source event: October 14, 2026 · Reviewed November 6, 2026

Dust in a cooling package is an everyday problem with a place on the industry event calendar. An upcoming November webinar is putting the operating cost of heat, contamination and cooling decisions in front of equipment owners.
The development
Power Progress published the panel announcement for “The Hidden Cost of Heat: Smarter Cooling as a Competitive Advantage” on October 14, 2026. The event is scheduled for November 12 at 9 a.m. EST, with specialists from Cleanfix joining KHL Content Studio. The announced agenda includes cooling-package contamination, operating cost, compact engine compartments and the implications of automation. As of this article’s November 6 review, the webinar has not yet taken place.

Airflow deserves a place beside the temperature reading
An equipment warning is often where the cooling conversation begins, but visible contamination is a different kind of evidence from a temperature number. Dust on a grille, debris between stacked cores and oily material on fins should not be described as the same condition. The event’s focus offers a useful starting question: what is happening to the airflow path on this machine? That question can be asked without assuming every hot-running machine needs a radiator repair or that a fan feature can remove every type of buildup.

Questions worth taking back to your equipment
Before evaluating a cleaning feature, distinguish the manufacturer’s description from a condition report on your own equipment. A reversible fan may be relevant on an applicable machine, but it is not permission to alter controls or disregard the manual. For component service, note where the buildup is located and whether access is restricted. Do not open a hot cooling system or reach near moving fans to gather information.
| In the story | What it describes | A useful question |
|---|---|---|
| Event agenda | A topic for discussion | What claims will be supported by operating examples? |
| Dust on the front face | One visible observation | Is there contamination farther into the cooling package? |
| Repeat buildup | A condition to document | What material is returning and under what work conditions? |

What to watch next
After November 12, the useful follow-up will be the actual discussion and any published recording or technical material. Until then, predictions about the panel’s conclusions would be premature. Our analysis is simple: equipment owners benefit when cooling coverage connects airflow observations with maintenance planning instead of promising a universal fix.
Two questions readers may have
Has this webinar already happened?
Not as of the November 6, 2026 review. The published schedule lists November 12. Check the organizer’s page for registration and any schedule changes.
Does a reversing fan eliminate radiator cleaning?
Do not assume that. Suitability and operating instructions are model-specific. Different kinds and locations of contamination can require different inspection or cleaning discussions.
